Apply for research funding
Who can apply
Research funding from the Danish Air Ambulance can be applied for by anyone who is qualified to carry out research projects. However, the project applicant or at least one member of the project group must be employed in one of the five regions.
Applicants can be, for example:
- Clinically working doctors or other staff within the acute and pre-hospital area
- PhD students and associates and post.doc. /senior researchers
- Research year student
Application deadline
The main application deadline is March 1. If not all funds are distributed in this round, a secondary application round will be carried out in the autumn with a deadline of September 1, where applications can be made for the remaining funds. When the applications from the primary application deadline have been processed, the next application deadline will appear below.

Reporting
It is a prerequisite for receiving the grant that at the end of the research project and no later than three months after the most recently approved end date, a report is submitted to the emergency medical helicopter's research committee.
If several grants have been received for the same project, a combined report can be made if desired. If the report is not submitted, the research committee can demand repayment of the grant.
The reporting includes:
- Summary of the research results in layman's language in both Danish and English, as well as any an updated description of the project on the helicopter scheme's website.
- Overview of presentations and publications
- Forwarding of any publications
- Final accounts for the project (see instructions in "Conditions for receiving a grant")
